About KADOKAWA DWANGO Educational Institute
- N and S high schools are recognized under Article 1 of the School Education Law in Japan, providing Japan High School diplomas as well.
- Besides the required classes for obtaining the diploma, we offer extracurricular classes where students can explore their future aspirations. Practical skills are developed in areas such as university entrance exam preparation, programming, web design, video creation, machine learning (AI), novels, illustrations, games, and voice acting and so on. Additionally, students gain valuable experiences both online and offline with local governments or companies and study abroad programs, preparing them for active roles in global society. A student earns Patent for innovative work (JP,7361443,B).

- R High School is also preparing to open in April 2025 as our group high school.

- The total number of students is 29,340 and it is the largest number of high school students in Japan.
- Since N high school was founded in 2016, student numbers increased 15 times bigger, S high school was established in 2021 for better accommodation and R High School is preparing to open in April 2025.
- The increase in students shows that our educational content matches the needs such as variety of elective programs, innovative and utilization of technology.
- Among the approximately 10,000 students enrolled in eachgrade, 35% advance to domestic universities, and just under 1% advance to overseas universities.

Variety of Elective Programs
- Various programs to cultivate students’ knowledge and skills based on their interest, such as programming and literature courses alongside the compulsory courses for high school diploma.
- Extra-curricular activities for career development such as club activities, work experience intern programs, study abroad programs.
Admission Requirements
- Must be fluent in Japanese
- Obtained Middle school diploma or equivalent
- Place of residence must be in Japan
- This requirement does not apply to Japanese nationals
Graduation Requirements
- Minimum enrollment required:3 years
*The transfer or re-enrollment of students may take into consideration their previous academic records, such as the period of enrollment and earned credits.
- Must complete at least 74 credit hours for graduation
- Compulsory school participation from 7-10 days per year where students take face-to-face classes, exams, and special activities
- The students must be physically present at the campus located in Japan
Marking Procedure
Students must take “General Subjects” and can take “Open Elective Subjects” as an option of choosing within the set tuition, face-to-face classes and exams.
