2024 academic year student progress and life paths
Below is a chart showing the percentages of life paths followed by the students who graduated in the 2024 academic year. From advancing to universities and technical schools to finding careers using skills like programming, their life path choices span a diverse array. Among a wide range of curriculum, students are discovering what they personally want to do with their lives, and linking that to shaping their own futures.

Notes:
- As of April 30, 2025.
- The pie chart denominator (n) is the number of students who graduated on March 31, 2025 (only April admission students who were enrolled in the N High School Group during the 2024 academic year).
- Academic advancement to universities, etc. refers to students who have advanced to universities, two-year junior colleges, distance education departments of university or two-year junior college, upper secondary schools (advanced course) and special support high schools (advanced course), as well as those who have simultaneously entered advanced schooling and employment.
- Technical schools, etc. includes technical schools (specialized courses and general courses), public human resources development facilities, and miscellaneous category schools.
- The career decision rate is defined as the percentage of graduates whose career paths have been confirmed, excluding those listed as "Life path still undecided" or "Other."
- The percentages for each item are rounded to the third decimal place, so the total may not add up to 100%.
